Stewart Pollens, Director of Violin Advisor, LLC served as the conservator of musical instruments at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1976 through 2006. In 2007 he established Violin Advisor, LLC, a consulting firm that advises musicians, orchestras, conservatories,and investors in the purchase of fine violins. Mr. Pollens is the author of four books on the violin and violin bow, including "Stradivari," which was published by Cambridge University Press in 2010.
